Entrepreneurship Development cell with Incubation I-Cube Club

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) was established to meet the growing need for an entrepreneurial career of students and to facilitate and integrate the efforts of the development and research team within BMSIT&M.

Activities of the EDC

  • Prof. Rakesh Godhwani from IIM-Bengaluru delivered a talk on "How leaders persuade action- A necessary skill for entrepreneurs"
  • A seminar on "Scaling up business with internal and external focus" was conducted by Mr. Rajinish Menon, Director, Cloud Strategy Microsoft Corporation.
  • On 8th February 2014, a seminar titled “Entrepreneurship Innovation and challenges” was conducted by Mr. Anant Koppar, CEO KTwo Technology Solutions.
  • A talk was delivered by Mr. Varun Padi, CEO, Excubator Consulting Pvt.Ltd on Financial aspects in Entrepreneurship.
  • A seminar on "Awareness on Entrepreneurship" was held on 14th September 2013, by Mr Ramesh, Manager- Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Bengaluru.
  • The I-Cube Club in association the Telecommunication Department conducted an workshop to enhance the creativity and practical skills of the students to develop projects by making use of microcontrollers.

The following projects have been completed by the club:

  • "Automatic House Control using Speech Processing" by Apoorva L U, Suhasini and Pooja Rudraraju.
  • "Low cost Health monitoring system using microcontrollers" by Unaid Zheeshan, Susheel Kumar M and Rakshit J Shah.
