Problem statement |
Monitoring & Management of rate of water, soil fertility, crop growth, pest & diseases, macro & micro-nutrients etc. using IoT, AI&ML and applications of sensors. |
Challenge description with context |
The technology can help improve efficiency of water usage in agriculture and finds application in open farms, green houses, gardening and research and agricultural labs. It can help with guidance about ways to optimize water usage as per the requirement of crop and soil (Crops, flower, fruits). In case of limited water resources, the farmers can detect and limit watering to only at critical phase of the crop cycle thus not affecting overall yield. |
Expected outcome |
Development of indigenous system to track the water, soil fertility, crop growth etc. |

Problem statement |
Development of Smart system from Farm to Consumer 'weekly santhe'. |
Challenge description with context |
There are many on-line marketing platforms: The challenge is to create a virtual realization of 'weekly santhe' with visuals of the real product and facilitating face to face negotiation. A specific problem in this regard may be framed and present the 'Distinct Solution' to experience real time and transparent produce market place.. |
Expected outcome |
Software with UX & UI, experiencing the Real-Time market and direct communication with sellers |

Value added products from Agri waste through waste to wealth Approach |
Challenge description with context |
Crop residue burning damages soil nutrients, organic quality of the soil, solubility capacity and micro-organisms in the upper layer and leads to environmental pollution and also adds the layer of impenetrable ash at the field level. Waste management is a burning problem that warrants a multi-directional approach. Not all types of Agricultural residues can be handled at one place or by a single agency. The quantity and volume of different types of waste generated also vary . |
Expected outcome |
# Product through agree waste and Mobile application through proper collection and recycling. |

Problem statement |
Protecting crops from wild animals |
Challenge description with context |
Human-animal conflict is the most devastating issue in the edges of the protected areas, and crop losses and livestock losses are the resultants of it. As enough fodder is available along the forest fringes, wild animals foray into the fields and among the vertebrate's wild boar, monkeys, rodents, elephants, and birds expressed the conflict by crop damage and were more frequent. In some extreme cases, the farmers have been forced to abandon their farms, though the growing human settlements is often seen as an opportunity for economic development. |
Expected outcome |
A device that automates the process of monitoring the movement of animals in the premises of fields and alerting the farmers and occupants nearby with surveillance functionality.. |
