The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) plays a pivotal role in realizing the objectives of an Autonomous Institution by providing a strong interdisciplinary foundation that complements technical education. The department contributes significantly to the institution’s commitment to Outcome-Based Education (OBE), academic flexibility, and holistic student development in alignment with AICTE, NBA, and NAAC quality frameworks.

As part of the autonomous curriculum structure, the department designs and delivers courses such as Professional and Technical Communication, Universal Human Values, Constitution of India, Environmental Studies, Ethics, Scientific Foundations of Health.

The department adopts learner-centric and experiential teaching–learning methodologies, including interactive lectures, case studies, group discussions, presentations, debates, role plays etc.
