Dr. Shoba M has 15.6 years of experience in teaching and 7 Years of experience in research. She received BE in Information Science and Engineering from JSS Academy of Technical Education and M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from R V College of Engineering and completed her doctorate in Reva University, Bengaluru. Have qualified K-SET in 2017 and have lifetime eligibility. Her area of interest includes but not limited to Wireless Sensor Networks, Internet of Things, Data Science and Mobile Application Development. To her credit prolifically published around 28+ papers in National / International journals and conferences. She has filed and published 1 patent with International inventor. She has received grants from VTU-TEQIP and KSCST under various schemes. She is a Life member of ISTE, TIE, InSc, IEI and member of IEEE. She was nominated as evaluator for Smart India Hackathon Virtual Software & Hardware Edition 2020 and Toycathon 2021. Erstwhile she was associated with Sir MVIT, Acharya Institute of Technology and Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering Bengaluru in various capacities as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor & Head Dept. of ISE. She has received Research Excellence Award 2020 and Student Project of the Year 2020 by Institute of Scholars – A Technical Professional Organization registered under MSME Govt. of India, an ISO 9001:2015 certified institute by International Accurate Certification, Accredited by UASL. Received National Award for Faculty in Higher Education for Karnataka South Region from Global Research Foundation on the Occasion of Teacher Day on September 5th 2020. Recognized as mentor by AICTE under NITTT Chennai in 2021. Have cleared NPTEL examination on Design Thinking in 2021. Currently guiding one research scholar in VTU.
