  1. Department of Chemistry successfully completed first International Web conference on “ACCELERATING INNOVATIONS IN MATERIAL SCIENCE” (AIMS 2020) from 4th to 7th August, 2020.
  2. Mrs. Bincy Rose Vergis was conferred the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Science (Chemistry) for the thesis entitled "Synthesis, Characterization of Transition Metal Nanospinel Ferrites (MFe2O4) and The study of their Multi-Functional Properties" on 8th Feb, 2020.
  3. Dr. Jyoti Roy Choudhuri has received DST- CRG Research project as Co-PI worth Rs 32, 824, 00 in the year 2019-20.
  4. Dr. Jyothi C Abbar has received DST- SERB Research project worth Rs.18.3 Lakhs in the year 2018-19.
  5. Dr. T. Ramakrishnappa has received DST Research project worth Rs. 95 Lakhs in the year 2018-19.
  6. Dr. Jyoti Roy Choudhuri has received DST- SERB Research project worth Rs.15 Lakhs in the year 2018-19
  7. Dr. T. Ramakrishnappa selected as a potential reviewer of the international journals such as Elsevier, Springer, and RSC, ACS, etc.
  8. One of the Ph.D. Student Ms. Varsha Raj of Dr. T. Ramakrishnappa selected as visiting researcher under the supervision of Dr. Werasak Surareungchai, Associate professor, King Mangkut’s university of Technology, Thonburi.
  9. The faculties have papers published in national and international scientific journals on a frequent basis.
  10. Dr. C. Kavitha has received DST-SERB Research Project worth Rs. 40 Lakhs in the year 2014-2017.
  11. The Research and Development lab (R&D) for Chemistry: CENTER FOR ADVANCED MATERIAL RESEARCH has been set up recently, jointly with Physics Department and is functional with well-equipped instruments and adequate number of sophisticated digital electronic gadgets for various analyses.
  12. Dr. Kavitha C has received VGST SMYSR project worth 5 lakhs 2017-2018.
