Dr. Usha B A and team emerged as Top Performers team in the first ever conducted Faculty Hackathon in multidisciplinary domain at BMSIT&M on 22nd November 2025.

Department of CSE organized an AICTE–VAANI Sponsored 2-Day Workshop on “GREEN MOBILITY AND SMART INFRASTRUCTURE FOR FUTURE CITIES” on 10th & 11th October, 2025, coordinated by Dr. Bhuvaneshwari Melinamath.

An official signing of a MoU with ASHTAKSHA LABS Pvt Ltd which has the objective to provide World-class Cyber Security/ AI&ML Services, Research, Training and Consultancy there by protecting the cyber space on 20th June 2025.

Dr. Gerard Deepak, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering was felicitated with the Best Researcher Award for 2023-2024 by BMS Institute of Technology and Management in the Engineers Day event on 15th and 20th September 2024.

Dr. Bhuvaneshwari Secured a Grant of ₹7,85,000 for Refresher Course Development.

Prof. Shankar R, Asst. Prof, CSE visited Zimbabwe to act as RPA Consultant and Trainer for the client Ecocash from 20.02.2024 to 6.03.2024.

Department of CSE in collaboration with AICTE has conducted a 2-day workshop on “Creators of Metaverse with Meta Spark Studio” via virtual mode for the CSE students Phase 1 from 08.1.2024 to 09.01.2024 and Phase 2 from 29.01.2024 to 30.01.2024 coordinated by Dr. Srivani P.

Dr. Gerard Deepak, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering featured in the World’s Top 2% Scientist by Stanford University and Elsevier list based on c-score for the year 2023 featured in the 2024 list.

Dr. Arun Kumar B.R. Professor, CSE has extended his support as a resource person for 5 Day National workshop titled “Practical Cybersecurity, Forensics and Blockchain Technology” from 6.12.2022 to 10.12.2022 in association with NCSSS, IEEE, ISTE and CSI for the students of undergraduate and Ph.D Research Scholars. He delivered the session titled “Block chain Technology and its significant Use Cases” on 9.12.2022.

The Department of CSE, has conducted a workshop on “Practical Cybersecurity, Forensics and Blockchain Technology” from 6.12.2022 to 10.12. 2022 in association with NCSSS, IEEE, ISTE and CSI for the students of undergraduate and Ph.D Research Scholars. The workshop was convened by Dr. Arun Kumar B.R. Professor, CSE and Dr. Anjan K, Professor, Cybersecurity along with other faculty coordinators of CSE. The National workshop of 5 days has attracted nearly 90 participants and offered a practical approach for exploring Cybersecurity.
